**Director of Merchandising Overview**

  • Our organization is seeking a seasoned Director of Merchandising to spearhead the product lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch and ongoing optimization.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with our strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the entire product development life cycle, including concept design, testing, production deployment, and commercialization.
  • Establish and implement a supply chain strategy that maximizes efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor and report on product performance throughout its lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers or vendors to bring products to market, ensuring timely completion and adherence to craftsmanship standards.
  • Manage existing product lines, identifying opportunities for redesigns, discontinuations, or enhancements.
  • Stay informed about customer and market needs to drive product innovation.
  • Provide expert product information to support sales efforts.
  • Develop merchandising strategies for all marketing channels, including e-commerce platforms.
  • Identify new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand our reach.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in product development within the fine jewelry industry.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle and go-to-market strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from concept to production successfully.
  • Extensive knowledge of jewelry design, gemology, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of cost analysis, pricing strategies, and market trends in fine jewelry.
  • Experience collaborating with external partners, including negotiating priorities, aligning roadmaps, and driving successful outcomes.
