Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager I to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager and driving sales growth through effective leadership and customer service skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized individual who can lead by example, prioritize tasks, and maintain a positive store environment.

About the Role

The Assistant Manager I will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, including inventory management, customer service, and employee development.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment, including stockroom organization and seasonal displays.
  • Processing corporate directives, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests.
  • Maintaining promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
  • Assisting with ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
  • Maintaining areas of the store, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
  • Previous store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
