Job Title

Data Center Operations Specialist seeks to manage data center operations and ensure high availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage high-availability data centers using VXRail Dell, Storage EMC, and HP Baremetal Servers.
  • Operate VMware virtualized platforms and Baremetal solutions on Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Monitor Core Network (switches spine-leaf/L3-7) and manage knowledge of 1,500+ VMs/Physical Servers.
  • Ensure facilities Datacenter operations are within temperature/humidity limits, manually or using tools.
  • Prepare documentation routines to be followed during operation.
  • Administer Storage and Backup environments, maintaining communication between storage and server, generating instances for security and availability, and verifying backups.
Tools & Technologies
  • Unisphere, Veritas NETBackup, OpsCenter, Veeam EMC VNX5500, HP P2000, DELL MD3200,HP P4500, EMC VNX5200,DELL ME4024, Tape library Dell.
  • Install, configure, define policies, monitor backup activities for hybrid environments using Veeam/CommVault, Netbackup.
  • Coordinate tape library operation in all remote sites.
  • Responsible for keeping safe tape libraries according to policies defined by Customer.
  • Monitor execution and recover/restart operations in case of failure.
  • Scale problems if required.
  • Participate in DR training and real situations, restoring activities to quickly reestablish the environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for backup/restore/DR.
  • Prepare runbooks for command center execution.
  • Experience with backup/snapshot images, configuration, files, objects, archives, databases, SAP using disks, tape libraries, and cloud.
  • Experienced in Datacenter facilities and DC IT Infrastructure (Servers, Core Network, Storage, Operational System, ERP, HCI).
  • Skilled in monitoring multiple devices/applications using Zabbix/Grafana/PBI/Tableau.
  • Experienced in executing runbooks according to incident events.
  • Founding right SOPs and providing feedback for improvements.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Python, Java, .Net, Elastic Stack, Kibana, and Selenium.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL Reporting Services, and Power BI.
  • Application Insights and Foglight expertise.
