Senior Production Operations Director Job Description

We seek a skilled and experienced leader to oversee the production operations team, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality content at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from intake and planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs.
  • Production Workflow Management: Develop and refine ways of working to drive efficiency, transparency, and scalability across teams and projects.
  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Forecast production volumes to optimize staffing levels and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality outputs.
  • Team & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including account management, creative, and capability teams to deliver results in a cost-efficient and strategic manner.
  • Process Documentation & Optimization: Maintain detailed documentation of workflows and lead continuous improvements based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
  • Financial & Budget Oversight: Manage budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring resource allocation aligns with production demands.
  • AI Integration & Innovation: Identify opportunities for AI-driven efficiencies, develop a training and implementation roadmap, and lead the rollout across production teams.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to a core team of three direct reports, while influencing and supporting a dynamic team that scales between 10 and 30 members.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify challenges, mitigate risks, and implement solutions to keep production workflows efficient and client satisfaction high.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of production operations and process optimization.

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a production operations environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production workflows, processes, and systems.
