Talent Manager Role

Are you a motivated and organized individual looking to take on a new challenge? We are seeking a talented Talent Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a population of consultants across various offices and practices. This role will involve scheduling, performance management, and building relationships with consultants to understand their strengths, development objectives, and career goals.

This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will be able to balance the needs of the business alongside the preferences, career goals, and development needs of consultants to deliver appropriate staffing and talent management outcomes.

Talent Management Responsibilities:

  • Engage consultants on development needs and areas for training using the performance management process
  • Develop relationships with each consultant and become a trusted advisor
  • Assist consultants in directing resources for career advice
  • Monitor work-life-quality issues and escalate when needed

Project Staffing Responsibilities:

  • Understand project nuances and staffing needs
  • Collect relevant details from Partners and Practice Group TMs on projects to be staffed
  • Anticipate capacity issues and manage expectations accordingly
  • Communicate staffing outcomes to consultants in an empathetic manner

Consultant Development and Performance Management Responsibilities:

  • Understand the performance management framework and competency model
  • Coordinate training with the Learning and Development team
  • Read all performance appraisals and follow-up on any issues or performance flags

Data, Analysis and Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Review weekly utilization reports and cross-reference with systems to ensure latest information is captured
  • Assist with assembling the project pipeline and consultant availability reports
  • Prepare documents and exhibits for senior leadership meetings

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in a fast-paced and dynamic client services business environment
