Cloud Optimization Specialist

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our customer success team, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial success for AWS customers by creating and delivering executive-level content, serving as a subject matter expert in cost and commercial aspects throughout the customer life-cycle, and empowering clients with tools for effective cloud and IT spend management.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Advisory: Collaborate with AWS account teams to build and deliver executive content, including financial business cases, Return on Investment analyses, and Total Cost of Ownership analyses.
- Subject Matter Expert: Become the go-to expert in all cost and commercial related aspects of the customer life-cycle, providing guidance and support to customers.
- Cloud Spend Management: Educate and enable customers with tools to successfully manage cloud and IT spend, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Reporting and Analytics: Assess reporting and analytic needs of customers and identify solutions to meet those needs, ensuring timely and accurate insights.
- KPIs and Progress Tracking: Communicate, establish, and measure KPIs to track progress and success of transformation and optimization initiatives within customer organizations.
- Request Management: Manage numerous requests concurrently and strategically, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Billing and Forecasting: Understand and communicate billing, forecasting, and budgeting best practices to customers.
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies or equivalent
