Renewable Energy Operations Specialist: A Key Role in Sustainable Manufacturing.

This is a highly skilled position that oversees all aspects of local plant operations, ensuring the smooth execution of assembly processes, workflows, testing stations, and quality checkpoints for RNG system modules.

The successful candidate will lead the team in determining production processes, selecting manufacturing methods, and completing facility layout and size calculations. They will also oversee daily plant operations, including mechanical assembly, test execution, inventory, logistics, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and testing equipment, as well as experience in plant assembly, team building, and facility management. They must be able to apply lean manufacturing principles and 5S to reduce waste, increase throughput, and optimize layout.

The Renewable Energy Operations Specialist will also be responsible for implementing and sustaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training documentation. They will monitor operational KPIs and drive corrective actions where necessary, while maintaining plant compliance with internal safety standards and external regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations; 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Proven track record in plant assembly, team building, and facility management
  • Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems and testing equipment
  • Strong understanding of EHS regulations and quality assurance processes
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English required, Portuguese an asset
  • Experience in renewable energy or capital equipment manufacturing an asset
