Antarctica Field Telecommunications Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety standards.
- Manage phone systems, including inputting cable and equipment data into Cable Management Software.
- Survey cables and hardware for damage and schedule repairs as necessary.
- Provide voice/data services to outlying field sites.
- Support testing and implementation of wireless LAN devices.
Key Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Minimum four years of experience in telecommunications systems are required.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain OSP/ISP Fiber, OSP/ISP Copper up to industry standards is essential.
- Experience with wiring standards and protocols is necessary.
- Solid understanding of logical and systematic troubleshooting techniques is crucial.
- Proficiency in computers and software used in modern telecommunications facilities is required.
