What You Will Do
  1. Coordinate with product development engineers to track and communicate design, development, support, and maintenance problems and solutions.
  2. Identify, document, and report design, reliability, and maintenance problems and bugs. Gather and consolidate feedback from customers and field staff.
  3. Coordinate with field support specialists and customers to address and resolve problems and expand product usage.
  4. Answer customer and field support questions; provide guidance for product integration and infrastructure issues.
  5. Support program management activities across the program that include communications, business unit engagement, roadmap maintenance, business process development, and project reviews.
  6. Ensure alignment with overall program direction while advancing capability development.
  7. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in solution delivery.
  8. Define business processes and document business requirements to be shared with our partners for solution development and execution.
  9. Lead global cross-functional project teams to improve order management processes and systems that can span multiple organizations.
  10. Conduct change management activities, including training, documentation, and roles & responsibility definition.
  11. Leverage technology to enable process efficiency, data analysis, and process capability.
  12. Work with peers on process integration opportunities; including Caterpillar Dealer and Supply Chain processes.
  13. Support other Modern Order Management execution teams, including training and global update meetings.
  14. Leverage Lean thinking & methodologies.
  15. Utilize multiple mediums of communication including email, presentations, meetings, instant messaging, Caterpillar social media, etc. to reach business partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques, and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Agile Executor: Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects of different sizes.
