Job Title: Director of Rare Disease Strategy

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of rare disease strategies across Latin America. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in commercial areas and transfunctional knowledge in Access, Medical, Clinical, or marketing areas.

  • This role involves owning the Rare Disease therapy area, including P&L management and strategy development.
  • The successful candidate will represent LATAM in Global, IO, and regional CBTs, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Key responsibilities include identifying business and product opportunities within the region through market analysis and driving the execution of initiatives.
  • The individual will also provide marketing and medical insights for business discussions and align global teams with affiliates.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To build and align comprehensive commercial and medical strategies to drive the growth of the Rare Disease portfolio.
  • Lead cross-functional LATAM teams to build strategic approaches and action plans for Rare Disease.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related area.
  • Strong experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on Commercial areas and transfunctional knowledge in Access, Medical, Clinical, or marketing areas.
  • Proven experience as a people manager, leading teams.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong experience in rare diseases, oncology, or haematology is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge in the LATAM healthcare market and government landscape is an asset.
