Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day general maintenance duties within the hotel rooms and public areas. This includes responding promptly to maintenance issues and emergency calls, conducting regular inspection tours of the hotel to ensure all operating equipment is working correctly, and maintaining all tools, equipment, and working areas in proper condition.

You will work closely with the Engineering Team on any projects or schedules and follow all Health and Safety rules within the Department and the hotel. Additionally, you will demonstrate exceptional customer service when engaging with Guests.

This role requires a strong work ethic, ability to work without close supervision, and within established timeframes. Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or a similar varied work environment such as ships, hospitals or retail businesses, is highly desirable. A certificate in Engineering is also preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance duties within the hotel rooms and public areas
  • Respond to maintenance issues and emergency calls
  • Conduct regular inspection tours of the hotel
  • Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in proper condition
  • Work closely with the Engineering Team
Requirements:
  • Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or similar environment
  • Certificate in Engineering (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes
  • Strong work ethic
