Job Title: Truck Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods over intercity routes.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe transportation of packages from one location to another. You will also be required to follow all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to weight limits, hours of service, and cargo securement.

In addition to driving responsibilities, you will be expected to perform pre- and post-trip inspections on your vehicle, as well as maintain accurate records of your route and delivery information.

You will work independently, with minimal supervision, and be responsible for managing your time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver packages efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Class E endorsement is required.
  • At least six months of experience as a truck driver is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience with FedEx or similar companies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with traffic laws and safety standards is essential.
  • The ability to interpret maps and knowledge of interstate routes is necessary.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 75 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
