Strategic Land Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Acquisition Specialist to oversee the procurement of land for mining and industrial operations.

About the Role

This role involves strategic planning, negotiation, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure successful procurement of land while adhering to environmental, health, and safety regulations and strategies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive land acquisition strategy aligned with operational performance and expansion plans.
  • Identify and evaluate potential land parcels for mining and industrial operations, considering factors such as accessibility, zoning, and environmental impact.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements and manage the acquisition process to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of land access, purchase, lease, or easement agreements.
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to address concerns and ensure transparent communication throughout the land acquisition process.
  • Ensure all land acquisitions comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in land acquisition, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to assimilate and analyze information from various sources to solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification in land management or a related field.
  • Experience working with geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial analysis tools.
