Job Title: In-House Legal Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Specialist to join our expanding legal team. As an In-House Legal Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support to various internal clients across the company.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with customers and vendors globally.
  • Provide legal advice and support to various internal teams.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to drive company initiatives forward.
  • Maintain accurate data in Canonical's contract management system.
  • Work closely with local counsel to seek and implement expert advice.
Requirements:
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • A degree in law, JD or equivalent, and active license to practice law.
  • Drive and a track record of delivering results beyond expectations.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with excellent drafting and presentation skills.
  • Confidence to communicate effectively and share ideas without hesitation.
  • Appreciative of diversity and effective in a multicultural multinational organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Thoughtfulness and self-motivation.
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good commercial judgment, work efficiently, and provide high-quality legal and commercial advice.

We are looking for a rigorous work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.

This is a home-based role in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or the Americas, with the option to work from our London office.
