Hitachi Energy is seeking a Business Developer to join their Marketing and Sales team in Brazil. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with sales and marketing professionals across the region, reporting to the Marketing and Sales Manager of the Business Unit in the country. Your primary focus will be on driving growth in non-traditional and high-potential market segments, promoting and selling Hitachi Energy's portfolio with a focus on Distribution Transformers.
You will be responsible for generating and managing a robust pipeline of opportunities, ensuring successful conversion to orders that align with factory needs. Additionally, you will formulate, implement, and supervise business strategies to expand market presence, establishing clear goals, developing action plans, and monitoring progress in a measurable way.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sustainable and profitable growth within assigned market segments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional experiences, promoting loyalty, securing recurring business, and aligning the business unit with market needs and trends.
- Develop, implement, and supervise business expansion strategies, establishing clear goals, creating action plans, and tracking progress.
- Organize business development meetings and interactions with potential clients to promote the company's value proposition.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, evaluate client needs, and analyze business risks.
- Collect and translate market insights through engagement with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive internal innovation.
- Negotiate contractual terms with clients and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships to support business growth and long-term success.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, procedures, and directives.
Requirements:
- Education: Electrical Engineering (emphasis on electrical engineering) or equivalent; specialization in the relevant field is desirable.
- Languages: Intermediate English; Spanish (desired).
- Previous knowledge of transformers; thorough understanding of Sales Market and Business Intelligence, Sales Processes and Tools, Contract Sales, and Risk Management.
- General knowledge of products/systems/services, depending on the area of activity, e.g., high-voltage electrical equipment.
- Experience with Marketing, Promotion, Application, and Sales; knowledge of Power BI (desired); knowledge of Salesforce (desired).
