Job Description

We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our Brazil Finance team.

This role will involve working alongside existing members of the team and partnering with other departments to provide day-to-day accounting assistance, deliver high-quality financial reporting, and support ad hoc finance-related projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building best-in-class reporting and control structures to ensure that Epic's financial and operational performance is optimized, scalable, and clearly communicated on a timely and accurate basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of financial accounting, including accrual and provision calculations and postings, reconciliations, and financial closing activities (monthly and yearly)
  • Financial accounting reporting for Epic UK and US
  • Management of annual statutory audit
  • Collaboration regarding system and process enhancements
  • Fixed asset accounting and administration (including depreciation, asset tracking, and leases)
  • Tax declarations, statistical report preparation, and submissions
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
  • 3-5 years recent and relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with active CRC
  • Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting processes and procedures, ERP systems (Senior Sistemas and Workday are preferable), and MS Excel - Google Sheets is a plus
  • Experience dealing with external auditor requests
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Attention to detail, organization, and experience in a fast-paced environment
