Lead Data Engineer

Job Description:

    We're seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and building data engineering solutions that drive business growth and improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and collect data from various sources.

    2. Design and develop ETL and ELT pipelines to process and curate data sets using technologies like SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.

    3. Develop and maintain data models and data warehouses using platforms like SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and Databricks.

    4. Implement data quality checks and validation frameworks to maintain high data standards.

    5. Build and maintain data development standards and principles, providing guidance and project-specific recommendations.

    6. Develop visualizations to demonstrate the results of data models to stakeholders and leadership, leveraging Microsoft Azure technologies.

    7. Test and validate analytics solutions to ensure data integrity and actual results meet expected results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

    • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and designing, developing, and building solutions on platforms like SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.

    • Strong proficiency with SQL, API, Power Query, and Microsoft Power BI.

    • Experience with Data Factory and Data Bricks.

    • Strong knowledge with data collection, analyses, cleaning to build reports for stakeholders.

    • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices for continuous integration and deployment.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


 

Travel: This position may require occasional travel (approximately 0-10% of work time).
