Service Delivery Manager Job Overview

The Service Delivery Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless delivery of services to customers. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Release Managers to prioritize and plan defect fixes, non-functional system changes, patches, and upgrades into block releases.
  • Review all Changes and Releases ready for approval into Pre-production and then to Production.
  • Manage Major Incidents outside of business hours as required.
  • Lead Service Delivery teams to ensure operational SLA compliance.
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives such as new markets, products, and M&A.
  • Adhere to Problem Management Process by ensuring agreed RCA's are delivered and subsequent PAIs are managed through to completion.
  • Ensure scheduled health checks are carried out, including Service validation, batch process completion, and BCVs.
  • Work with Architecture to manage currency of elements, including software support and levels.
  • Collaborate with Project and Release Managers to ensure completion of Service Acceptance Criteria before providing approval for Checkpoint 4.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Application Service Delivery, preferably managing financial & compliance tools.
  • Multilingual, with proficiency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
  • Experience with outsourced and insourced delivery models.
  • Ability to manage multiple, disparate initiatives.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid understanding of technology, including Unix, Windows, Oracle Financials, and SAP.
  • Specialization in management information systems and/or Computer Science desirable.
