We are looking for an expert to provide services to companies within the Perseus Group. The ideal candidate will build strong business relationships that lead to successful acquisitions.

The role involves initiating, maintaining, and qualifying relationships with decision makers, M&A advisors, and private equity/venture capital professionals. Successful acquisitions are generated through continuous value-add, high-quality market research, and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential acquisition targets in Salesforce CRM and create market maps to build strong relationships in assigned software industry verticals.
  • Meet and exceed monthly targets, such as meaningful contacts and other measurable KPIs.
  • Work autonomously and with leadership to qualify opportunities efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate database allocation within portfolio verticals.
  • Qualify opportunities at the top-end of the acquisition funnel to maintain focus for Portfolio Managers.

Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales or client-facing M&A/finance roles.
  • A clear interest in developing long-term pipelines of meaningful relationships with prospects.
  • Previous high-performance in Business Development, winning in autonomous roles, or success in other walks of life outside professional BD experience.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with executive presence to speak with CEOs, M&A advisors, corporate development, private equity, and venture capital professionals.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work variable hours.
  • Extraordinary work ethic, proactive with a sense of urgency.

This role requires occasional travel, primarily performed remotely, which may include multiple countries in South America.
