About the Role:

Genpact is seeking a highly skilled Storage Administrator to join our team in the United States. As a Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining storage and backup infrastructure within our data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain storage and backup solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Manage and administer storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions.
  • Monitor storage and backup performance metrics, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for storage and backup-related incidents and service requests.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for storage and backup environments.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT teams to ensure integrated and efficient storage and backup operations.
  • Manage changes to storage and backup environments through rigorous testing, coordination, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in managing and supporting storage and backup infrastructure within a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions.
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing storage arrays and backup software.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for automation and management tasks related to storage and backup.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in storage and backup technologies.
  • Experience with cloud storage and backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
