Genpact is seeking a highly skilled Storage Administrator to join our team in Sao Paulo. As a Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining storage and backup infrastructure within our data center environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and administer storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions for critical data and systems.
- Monitor storage and backup performance metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Provide L2/L3 support for storage and backup-related incidents and service requests escalated from L1 support teams.
- Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for storage and backup environments to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including configuration guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Generate reports on storage and backup performance, capacity, and health metrics.
- Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT teams to ensure integrated and efficient storage and backup operations.
- Manage changes to storage and backup environments through rigorous testing, coordination, and documentation to minimize risks and disruptions.
- Coordinate with storage and backup vendors and service providers to resolve escalated issues and optimize storage and backup services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4-6 years of experience in managing and supporting storage and backup infrastructure within a large enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions (e.g., EMC, NetApp, Dell EMC Isilon).
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam).
- Proficiency in configuring and managing storage arrays and backup software.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery principles and practices.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and management tasks related to storage and backup.
- Certification in storage and backup technologies (e.g., EMC Proven Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator).
- Experience with cloud storage and backup solutions.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
