Latin America Public Policy Lead

We are seeking a seasoned public policy expert to lead our efforts in Latin America. This role will involve building and executing a long-term strategy aligned with our business goals and user needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Brazilian political and regulatory environment, as well as regional expertise in markets like Mexico, Argentina, or Chile. They will also possess demonstrated success in designing and leading public policy campaigns.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive public policy strategy for Latin America.
  • Represent us to government officials, regulators, and civil society in Brazil and across Latin America.
  • Monitor and respond to regulatory trends, particularly around privacy, safety, and digital communications.
  • Advocate for our positions on key legislative and regulatory issues, utilizing both direct outreach and coalition-building.
  • Support our responses to government regulatory inquiries.
  • Collaborate internally with various teams, including Legal, Product, Communications, and Trust & Safety.
  • Lead public policy coalitions and manage partnerships with nonprofits and civil society organizations.
  • Oversee external consultants and advisors throughout Latin America.
  • Promote internal awareness of public policy issues and engage employees in key initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of senior-level experience in public policy, government relations, or related advocacy work.
  • Strong understanding of policymaking processes in Latin America.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and work across diverse perspectives.
  • Leadership background in a tech company or civil society organization.
  • Ability to communicate complex tech and legal issues in clear, compelling ways for non-technical audiences.
