Upstream Advisory Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Upstream Advisory specialist. This role will be based in Latin America and the Caribbean region, focusing on sectors such as manufacturing, agribusiness, health, education, real estate, and tourism.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, pipeline management, and transaction execution. They should also possess excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to provide market analysis, comparator analysis, and financial projections.

This position involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for decarbonization and digitalization across various sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting data from internal and external databases, presenting data to various audiences, and updating information in relevant databases.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or another related field; strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese; advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and at least 2 years of experience in financial institutions, consulting, or companies active in manufacturing, health, education, agribusiness, real estate, or tourism.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support business development, pipeline management, and transaction execution
  • Provide research and analysis on relevant sectors, markets, and companies
  • Extract data from internal and external databases, manipulate, and present data for various audiences
  • Review, screen, and prepare relevant documents and reports
  • Draw up materials for external presentation to (potential) clients and IFC partners
