Senior Transactional Lawyer

A key role for a Corporate Legal Counsel to provide expert legal advice and support, including strategic initiatives. This specialist position involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, managing transactions, and advising on compliance and government regulations.
The successful candidate will build relationships with senior management to create appropriate legal strategies to advance the business goals in the Latin American region.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel on all aspects of corporate transactions, including strategic business deals and sales.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts and agreements.
- Identify and manage legal risks associated with transactions and business operations, including government sales and bid transactions.
- Responsible for managing an active portfolio of legal issues with moderate to high-risk implications and supporting transactional requirements with tailored contracts.
- Advise on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies within relevant areas.
- Assess legal risks and opportunities, establish plans to minimize risks at acceptable levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel, and provide training as needed.
- Shape company positions regarding legal and business matters.
- Coordinate efforts with internal and/or external experts when necessary.
- Advise department managers on local laws, regulations, and issues, and provide recommendations on conditions requiring escalation.
- Collaborate with Key Customers and management across various parts of the organization.
- Build strong relationships with peers and senior management to meet company goals and objectives.
Reports to Assistant General Counsel.
