Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated HR Operations Team Leader for the Latin American region (Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina). This pivotal position is responsible for overseeing our HR Operations division, which encompasses Payroll Management, HR Administration, Recruitment Coordination, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, and Project Management. The incumbent will lead the DLL operations team members in Latin America, ensuring their contributions are recognized and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Direct and manage the HR Operations team, establishing priorities, recruiting top talent, overseeing performance, and fostering professional development. Cultivate a diverse, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
  • Operational Management: Supervise daily departmental operations while formulating necessary policies and programs.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Develop a comprehensive understanding of DLL's HR operations to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Centers of Expertise (COEs), HR Systems, Business Leaders, and external partners to shape the HR Operations roadmap in alignment with the overarching People and HR strategy. Propel the regional vision and strategy of these initiatives while identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of ongoing improvement to ensure a consistent and efficient employee experience, delivering operational excellence across HR Operations.
  • Governance: Establish governance frameworks to optimize team resource prioritization and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Performance Metrics: Own the daily performance metrics of HR Operations, ensuring alignment of SLAs and KPIs with a positive employee experience. Generate and share meaningful reports, metrics, and dashboards to measure performance against SLAs, volumes, customer satisfaction, and quality.
  • Training and Documentation: Set high standards for ongoing training and documentation of all processes and activities within the scope of work.
  • Leadership Confidence: Inspire trust from leadership and team members while promoting clarity, alignment, and accountability in a dynamic, complex environment.
  • Communication: Effectively convey HR Operations concepts to others, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and a positive demeanor in challenging situations. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Vendor Relations: Maintain business relationships with vendors to understand their strategic direction. Ensure the delivery of agreed-upon support and service level agreements, acting as the escalation point for vendor-related issues. Participate in annual vendor evaluations and strategic planning.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned or requested.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR Operations activities, including HR Administration, HR Systems, Payroll Operations, Process Improvement, Data Quality, and Compliance.
  • Extensive payroll management experience across multiple South American countries, particularly in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile.
  • At least 3 years of direct team management experience.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish at an advanced level is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws relevant to DLL's operations in Latin America.
