Formula 1 Radio Systems Technician

As a key member of our innovative team in the sports and entertainment sectors, we seek an experienced Radio Systems Technician to support our Formula 1 racing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing motorsport projects globally.

The role involves installing and maintaining analog and digital voice radio systems, setting up and operating wireless and wired communication networks, deploying and supporting small-scale IT infrastructures, and collaborating closely with colleagues and Formula 1 teams on site.

To thrive in this position, you will require technical training or equivalent education in mechatronics, electronics, IT, or communications technology, as well as a passion for radio, intercom, audio, and IT systems. Experience in motorsport, broadcast, or event technology is advantageous, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the racing team in planning, preparing, and executing motorsport projects globally
  • Install and maintain analog and digital voice radio systems
  • Set up and operate wireless and wired communication networks
  • Deploy and support small-scale IT infrastructures
  • Collaborate closely with RIEDEL colleagues and Formula 1 teams on site
  • Troubleshoot technical issues down to module level and prepare detailed reports
  • Document all events thoroughly
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completed technical training or equivalent education in mechatronics, electronics, IT, or communications technology
  • Passion for radio, intercom, audio, and IT systems
  • Experience in motorsport, broadcast, or event technology is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to dynamic environments
  • Strong project execution skills and on-site involvement
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills in English
  • Valid Class B driving license
