Expert Network Operations Role

This is a highly technical position in which you will be responsible for the overall management of network operations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

As an expert in network operations, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, providing expert level support for customer issues and collaborating with internal teams to develop automation tools to support the needs of the organization.

You will also be responsible for defining rescue plans for complex customer issues and major network outages, as well as performing validation testing of NSO packages developed by Engineering.

Additionally, you will create, review MOPs (Method of Procedures) and develop automation scripts to simplify day-to-day activities.

This role requires advanced technical skills, including detailed knowledge of IP routing protocols, L2 and L3 VPN technologies, and IPSEC. You should also have proficiency in creating route policies and a good understanding of network security.

About the Role
  • Provide third level support for any issues within the IP Backbone network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop automation tools to support the needs of the organization.
  • Define rescue plans for complex customer issues and major network outages.
  • Perform validation testing of NSO packages developed by Engineering.
  • Develop automation scripts to simplify day-to-day activities.
  • Can function as a team lead on specific projects to coordinate other resources (no direct reports).
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of IP routing protocols BGP, ISIS, MPLS, Segment Routing.
  • Detailed knowledge of L2 and L3 VPN technologies.
  • Detailed knowledge of IPSEC.
  • Proficient in the creation of route policies.
  • A good understanding of network security.
