Director of Quality – Aerospace

This position oversees the development and implementation of quality strategies that ensure products and processes meet the highest aerospace industry standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Quality Management System (QMS)
      • Develop, implement, and manage QMS aligned with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
      • Lead strategic planning for the Quality area, defining policies, guidelines, KPIs, and long-term objectives.
    • Audits and Certifications
      • Plan and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring maintenance and renewal of critical industry certifications.
      • Direct resolution of nonconformities identified in audits and ensure effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
    • Production and Quality Control Management
      • Oversee inspection processes in manufacturing, receiving, and shipping, ensuring conformity of materials, processes, and finished products.
      • Monitor and validate equipment and measurement devices, ensuring traceability and reliability of controls.
    • Continuous Improvement and Innovation
      • Identify opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives, applying methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PDCA, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving.
      • Implement and maintain 5S methodology, promoting organizational discipline and operational efficiency.
    • Leadership and Team Development
      • Lead and develop quality team, fostering culture of excellence, safety, and innovation.
    • Stakeholder and Supplier Relationship Management
      • Conduct technical visits to company plants, customers, and suppliers, ensuring alignment and integration across value chain.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality management principles, excellent leadership skills, and experience in managing quality teams. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
