Job Description

This role will perform financial duties for multiple companies.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze performance and results by segment and line of business under accounting standards.
  • Accounting tasks related to reinsurance companies Life and P&C and Insurance.
  • Explain actual vs. plan vs. forecast variations and provide financial reports to help officers understand figures and make informed decisions.
  • Responsible for account reconciliations for general ledger for multiple companies.
  • Review and ensure all accounting postings are in line with accounting standards.
  • Manage closing process for Group, responsible for sign-off, and monitor closing KPIs.
  • Monitor manual postings based on approval matrix (formalization process) under general ledger.
  • Work with team to fix issues in interfaces in line with accounting methodologies standards – accounting standards.
  • Participate in internal meetings with stakeholders.
  • Prepare walk-through between Baseline IFRS 4 and accounting standards.
  • Monitor EGPI Closing and Loss Ratio – LR.
  • Validation report send by versus SAP.
  • Prepare managerial reports and presentations to committees and board meetings.


Requirements:
  • Operational systems tools; preferable SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial instruments; preferred.
  • Multi-company experience in finance area.
  • Plan and forecast performance.
  • Operational planning/forecast expenses and cost centers allocation.
  • Control Profit and Loss and business performance.
  • Budget & forecast preparation and report.
  • Strong professional experience >10 years and >5 years in Finance and Accounting.


Education:
  • Bachelor degree in Administration, Accounting, Economy, Actuary or other Finance area.
  • Finance and Controllership MBA preferred.


Competencies:
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with a major general ledger system (SAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic workplace setting adhering to strict timelines.
  • Detail and organized in work.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Portuguese and Spanish preferred.
