Job Opportunity

As a Senior Applications Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative fragrance applications and providing technical support to our creative and development teams, sales teams, and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities in the application lab, preparing samples for internal and external customers and defining priorities.
  • Prepare fragrance applications in different bases under guidance, ensuring quality, precision, and accuracy.
  • Participate in technical support activities, applying diverse knowledge to meet customer needs.
  • Act as a point of contact in the lab for specific customers/projects across categories.
  • Administer sample requests, order fragrance oils, and perform physical-chemical measurements.
  • Write and update technical documentation in the department.
  • Formulate internal bases, perform colour matching, and recommend dyes.
  • Operate standard lab equipment, record results accurately, and communicate promptly.
  • Manage customer base inventories and project submission retained application samples.
  • Assist with materials administration and laboratory organization.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
  • Mentor and assist junior technicians, trainees, and others.

Requirements:

  • Degree or higher education qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or similar subject.
  • At least 5-7 years of lab experience in a related area.
  • Understanding of laboratory techniques applied to perfumery.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • English language proficiency.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good laboratory practice and safe handling of chemicals.
  • Technical knowledge of fragrances and relevant fragrance product categories.
  • Accurate record keeping and attention to detail.
  • Olfactory ability.
  • Chemistry knowledge.
  • Perfumery knowledge.
  • Understanding of ISO protocols.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Givaudan-specific software applications.
  • Lab equipment knowledge and safe usage.
