This is a unique opportunity to work on low-level watermarking systems, real-time video pipelines, and CDN edge enforcement infrastructure.

Role Overview

We're hiring a Senior Engineer to help advance the Cyclops watermarking platform. This involves working in C/C++, Python, and collaborating with CDN partners to deploy lightweight modulation algorithms directly at the edge. Familiarity with video codecs, HLS/DASH, and performance-optimized systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize watermarking modules written in C/C++ for real-time video processing
  • Work with Python services to manage fingerprint instructions and watermark IDs
  • Integrate watermarking pipelines with CDNs like Fastly, Akamai, and Cloudflare
  • Develop methods for embedding and verifying imperceptible video modulations at scale
  • Coordinate with the detection team to validate watermark robustness post-compression
  • Write efficient, cross-platform code that performs under strict performance constraints
  • Lead technical discussions on watermarking standards and adversarial defense strategies
Requirements
  • 5+ years of systems programming experience in C/C++
  • Understanding of H.264/H.265 codecs, GOP structures, and video encoding/decoding pipelines (preferable)
  • Experience with CDNs and edge deployment (e.g., WASM, VCL, Varnish)
  • Strong scripting in Python for glue code, control flows, and testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of video streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH, and RTMP
  • Strong debugging and optimization skills for performance-critical systems
