Job Opportunity:
As a Motor Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and packages across various routes, including interstate and overnight journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure cargo integrity and safety.
- Provide accurate documentation relating to the collection, delivery, and transfer of packages, including delivery records and vehicle conditions.
- Maintain a safe and clean driving environment, adhering to company safety standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages, ensuring their secure transportation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet business objectives and customer needs.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Education:
- Elementary School diploma
- Valid Heavyweight Vehicle License
- Maximum 5 Points (fines) on Driver's License Type E
- Dangerous Goods Specialist certificate (MOPP)
- Experience:
- Six (6) months experience as a Truck Driver
- Previous experience working with FedEx or similar companies preferred
- Skills:
- Flexible Time Management
- Knowledge of Traffic Laws and Safety Standards
- Ability to interpret Maps and navigate Interstate Routes
- Physical ability to lift 75 lbs. and maneuver packages of any weight
