Job Overview

Our organization seeks a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Network Operations Technician. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network systems. Responsibilities include:
  • Troubleshoot service disruptions by coordinating with other facilities.
  • Manage services through case, incident, and problem management processes.
  • Participate in daily operational activities and monitor alarm systems.
  • Supervise full-time managed services and associated ground systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting on all full-time services following established procedures.
  • Assist with change management activities adhering to ITIL methodology.
  • Elevate and report service issue corrective measures to the Management team.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture and provide high-quality customer service.
  • Support on-call duties for Operations.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the team lead and management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of satellite RF theory and broadband IP-based platforms.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic shift environment (including days, nights, weekends, and holidays).
  • Skill to convey complex technical issues to both skilled and unskilled individuals.
  • Strong teamwork, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Situational awareness and ability to take initiative to address customer and departmental inefficiencies.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese.
  • Proficiency in computer software and ability to read operational manuals.

Preferred Requirements

We prefer candidates with the following experience and skills:
  • In-depth understanding of RF and IP networking concepts.
  • Experience with network management systems and APIs.
  • Experience operating in mixed network environments (Juniper & Cisco).
