Senior Engineering Leadership Position

The role of Senior Engineering Manager is one of the most significant and challenging roles in a Technology organization. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge, strong leadership, and people development skills.

About this Role
  • You will be responsible for managing large engineering teams and directing managers to achieve business objectives.
  • You will provide technical input into new business ideas and collaborate with senior leadership on key projects.
  • You will work on building and guiding the technical roadmap for your area and take ownership of major projects that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Team Management: Manage large-scale engineering teams, develop strategies to improve team performance, and lead by example.
  • Tech Leadership: Develop future engineering leaders from within the company, foster innovation, and drive technical excellence.
  • Business Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to understand business needs, identify opportunities, and drive strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing engineering teams (25+ members), hiring and managing engineering managers, and developing future leaders.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in at least one programming language, knowledge in scale, microservices, clean architecture, and data-driven approaches.
  • People Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a focus on velocity, quality, and metrics-driven decision making.

  • Backend Programming Languages: Proficiency in multiple backend languages.
  • Data Engineering: Experience working with data-driven companies, Big Data, and Fintech/Financial Systems.
