The position of Structural Engineer 2 involves the design and coordination of structural engineering projects, including the creation of facility 3D models.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis is a hands-on, full-time professional position requiring 3+ years of experience practicing discipline-specific engineering on multidiscipline project teams. The role will involve developing conceptual designs, performing feasibility analysis, estimating structural quantities and construction costs, and collaborating with other engineers and designers.
- Structural Engineering
- Execute structural calculations.
- Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers.
- Construction Documents
- Develop contractor scopes of work.
- Write specifications for pre-engineered metal buildings, geotechnical systems, etc.
- Construction Support
- Prepare contractor bid packages.
- Review shop drawings.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is required, and a master's degree or relevant certifications are preferred.
