The FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 is the largest women's sporting event globally, hosted in Brazil. As a Local FIFA Subsidiary, we collaborate with FIFA HQ and stakeholders worldwide to deliver this tournament.

Job Overview

This role involves strategic financial planning and management of the event. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and budget owners to achieve our objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts, providing comprehensive financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Create operational cost budgets for the tournament period, capturing all necessary expenses for successful delivery.
  • Implement and maintain budgeting and reporting tools, offering hands-on training to budget owners.
  • Lead financial planning and review processes, collaborating with senior managers and budget owners.
  • Present quarterly forecast outcomes and recommended actions to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate accrual processes at year-end, supporting Accounting teams and budget owners.
  • Review monthly cost allocations and prepare re-allocation journals as required.
  • Compile monthly management reports with insightful commentary for budget owners and senior management.
  • Monitor and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity needs are met.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Experience in an event organization in a financial role, preferably in sports events.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with budgeting and reporting tools.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
  • International experience and proficiency in English, additional languages an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
