Project Quality Assurance Specialist

This role involves ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects by conducting site visits, testing, and inspection services. You will also assist geotechnical engineers in completing site investigation activities such as soil borings and/or test pit excavations, field permeability/percolation tests, and other supporting tasks to maintain department operations.
Responsibilities include reviewing and referencing project documents including site-civil, structural, architectural plans, geotechnical reports, and topographic surveys. Additionally, you will conduct structural steel and steel reinforcement inspections, perform footing subgrade inspections to review soils composition and bearing capacity, and communicate effectively with contractors and project managers.
Key skills required include hands-on experience with metric and English tools, proficiency in Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand general computer commands and learn supporting software for entering field data, laboratory data, timesheets, etc.
