The OpportunityWe are hiring a Data Scientist to join our Fraud Prevention team in Brazil.
This team identifies, prevents, and removes fraudulent actors from our platform. We work closely with all teams to identify potential fraud vectors and take action to prevent and remove these actors.
We are looking for a talented professional to study and apply fraud models over different behaviors and entities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop production systems to identify and remove fraudsters from our platform;
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning models;
- Help prototype, implement, and productionize new anti-fraud solutions at scale;
- Ensure successful deliveries and promote long-term technical health;
- Apply technology best practices;
- Participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting in the production environment;
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience;
- Experience as a data scientist delivering consistent results in a business setting;
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and hands-on experience implementing and prototyping them;
- Lifelong learner passionate about emerging technologies, proficient in Python and SQL;
- Strong communication skills explaining technical concepts to different audiences;
- Output-driven with experience working in scenarios with high uncertainty;
- Naturally curious, with a knack for teamwork;
- Proficient experience with fraud and anomaly detection models;
- Experience working with public clouds (nice to have).
