Director of Engineering Services

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our project engineering resources and drive strategic initiatives that will shape the future of transportation.

Main responsibilities:

  • Create and implement the engineering strategy to achieve business objectives and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and maintain engineering work breakdown structures, technical development plans, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain and develop engineering skills and competencies within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve services portfolio of products and services, driving growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in the Services Engineering network to share best practices and knowledge, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Own the Configuration and Design Change Management and Engineering Management Processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage the technical performances of systems, providing expert recommendations to stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.
  • Detect, define, and implement modifications to maintained products to enhance reliability and serviceability, meeting customer needs.
  • Propose innovative solutions and develop and implement R&D programs and new technologies in maintenance projects, staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Support Product Safety management system, ensuring timely mitigation of safety risks and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Obsolescence Plan, minimizing waste and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Capture and ensure ownership of regulations and standards to be applied, maintaining a compliant and adaptive organization.
  • Interface with stakeholders in Certification processes, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Responsible for QCD targets on the department, driving quality, cost, and delivery excellence.
