We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist to join our team at SBM Offshore. As an Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and continuous operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Safety and Integrity
- Coordinate effectively with various stakeholders, including asset groups, offshore facilities, engineering support groups, vendors, and clients to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve complex issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assume the role of Emergency Responder for major incidents.
- Analyze technical and financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and propose optimization initiatives.
- Develop and implement optimization plans to improve business processes and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain a 90-day and three-year operations plan to ensure continuous improvement.
- Report weekly to the management team and monthly to the Area Management team on key performance indicators and progress.
- Implement company standards and complete MS verifications onshore and offshore.
- Develop and maintain GEMS procedures and processes to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Respond to client queries in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Propose optimization initiatives and brownfield projects to clients to improve operational efficiency.
- Have a global understanding of supporting activities, including Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), contracts, procurement, logistics, finance, and Human Resources (HR), to bridge gaps and support the team as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of operations management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
