As a Development Fundraising Professional, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission while building meaningful relationships that create lasting impact.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our development efforts. As a Development Fundraising Professional, you will be responsible for developing relationships with donors and prospective donors to secure financial support for university priorities.

You will qualify donor prospects, assess their capacity, project interests, and inclination, and cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of assigned prospects to secure financial support. You will also plan, coordinate, and administer a comprehensive development program for a geographical region or constituent/project group.

In addition, you will develop annual fundraising plans, identify potential donors, and assess feasibility on projects. You will serve as a project manager to track fundraising progress, monitor pipeline, LYBUNT, SYBUNT, and new prospect activity.

Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills will enable you to document activity with donors in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, and project management capabilities are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with donors and prospective donors to secure financial support
  • Qualify donor prospects and assess their capacity, project interests, and inclination
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of assigned prospects
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer a comprehensive development program
  • Develop annual fundraising plans and identify potential donors
  • Serve as a project manager to track fundraising progress
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to five years of related work experience
  • Proven track record in major gift solicitation and closure
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
  • Strategic thinking and project management capabilities
  • Proficiency in donor database management and CRM systems
