Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our bookkeeping team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with expertise in U.S. or Canadian accounting standards, QuickBooks Online, and Asana.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing teams, performing quality control, and serving as a key escalation point for client accounts.

About the Role
  • Manage a team of bookkeepers, oversee daily deliverables, and perform regular quality reviews.
  • Coach staff on bookkeeping best practices, including client-specific standards.
  • Conduct 1 : 1s, performance check-ins, and ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex client queries.
  • Support clients directly during transitions and lead onboarding if necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and responsive communication, including written correspondence and live client calls.
Accounting Expertise
  • Perform or supervise reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and vendor accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting: monthly closes, balance sheet reviews, and journal entries.
  • Manage vendor payments and reconcile AP / AR activity as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping / accounting experience (U.S. or Canadian clients preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience managing accounting or bookkeeping teams.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (desktop knowledge is a plus).
  • Experience using Asana, Slack, Zoom, and G Suite tools.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax systems and reconciliation processes is a major plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
