Position Overview

As a Pulp and Paper Technical Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our regional operations by delivering both on-site and remote assistance to our clients in the pulp and paper sector. This position is designed for a full-time commitment and is based in Brazil.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering comprehensive technical support to key accounts, with an initial focus on the Northeast region of Brazil.
  • Coordinating, planning, executing, and documenting mill trials, ensuring thorough reporting and follow-up.
  • Collaborating closely with local account managers and technical service teams to foster strong relationships with decision-makers in the pulp and paper industry.
  • Identifying customer requirements and assisting in the development of tailored solutions while conducting technical evaluations of potential opportunities.
  • Assessing market potential and business opportunities within the region, ensuring compliance with local environmental standards and safety protocols.
  • Contributing to innovation initiatives as part of the global application team, leveraging technical application expertise.
Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in pulp and paper science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in pulp mills or with suppliers to the industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of dosing and pumping equipment for enzyme applications is desirable.
  • Experience in enzyme application is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong ability to bridge the gap between technology and customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel frequently is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical software tools for analyzing and presenting trial data.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and verbal, is crucial.
  • A proactive, structured, and results-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities.
  • Preference for candidates based in the Espírito Santo or Bahia regions.
