Job Summary

The Access Center Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading on-site staff and collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless operations.

This position is responsible for conducting morning huddles, escalating scheduling or clinical concerns, auditing access center staff compliance, monitoring referrals, reporting outstanding referrals, managing pre-registration denials, monitoring dashboards, training staff, and tracking KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting morning huddles to ensure team alignment and goal setting.
  • Escalating scheduling or clinical concerns during the FPP operations huddle to address potential issues promptly.
  • Auditing access center staff for compliance with Ambulatory Access Guidelines and NAHAM registration protocols to maintain high standards.
  • Monitoring referrals from Federally Qualified Health Center partners to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Reporting outstanding referrals to division Chiefs and the Access Center Director to facilitate resolution.
  • Managing pre-registration denials by collaborating with schedulers and following NAHAM standards to minimize errors.
  • Monitoring Sharpen Access Dashboards to track key performance indicators.
  • Training entry-level registration and scheduling staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Tracking KPIs for the Access Team to inform data-driven decision making.
Requirements

To be successful as an Access Center Supervisor, you should have:

  • A High School Diploma required; Associate's degree, CHAA or CPC certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an Academic Medical Center; 1-2 years supervisory or team lead experience in the same setting.
  • NAHAM CHAA or CHAM eligibility preferred.
