Translation Team Leader

As a seasoned translation team leader, you will be responsible for guiding a high-performing team to deliver exceptional translations on time and within stringent quality standards. You will set the linguistic tone for your team, ensuring rapid growth and development of individual skills while maintaining high productivity levels.
- Collaborate closely with the Translation Line Manager to develop and measure individual skills
- Set linguistic standards and ensure quality delivery of projects
- Responsible for effective productivity & utilisation of the team
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the training and development of team members, including induction of new staff as required.
• Escalate quality issues and complaints that may arise.
• Cover absence of Translation Line Manager or Lead translators if nominated Deputy Line Manager or Lead.
• Coordinate language resources, glossaries, reference books, etc.
• Actively contribute to improvement of systems and procedures.
• Ensure every member of the team is working efficiently and is busy at all times.
• Identify areas for improvement and train team members accordingly.
• Induction of new staff into SDL's systems and processes.
• Procedures & Discipline: ensuring team members understand and follow SDL's procedures.
• Motivate team.
