Howard University is seeking an Executive Director to lead strategic transactions for its capital asset portfolio. The incumbent will oversee a diverse range of projects, driving key objectives and optimizing financial and mission-oriented performance.

This executive leadership position requires strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex real estate transactions and manage multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of real estate markets and trends, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The role involves coordinating pre-transaction analysis and due diligence, including financial modeling and pro forma analysis, cost-benefit or return on investment analysis, feasibility analysis, market research, and review of third-party reports. The incumbent will also prepare and present transaction analysis to Senior Administration and Board of Trustees.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Executive Director will lead negotiations with investors and creditors, development partners, contractors, and vendors, ensuring that University policies are followed. They will also maintain copies of all University deeds, leases, and other real estate documents in a central database.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree and at least 10 years of work-related experience in real estate transactions. Demonstrated experience as a management executive in real estate transactions is also essential.
