Experienced Loan Closing Specialist Wanted

The Senior Loan Closing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the loan closing process is smooth and error-free.
This individual will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, attorneys, and the loan management team to guarantee timely and quality closings.
Responsibilities- Order and review loan due diligence documents to protect the bank's interest from approval through funding.
- Collaborate with the loan closing manager to provide excellent customer service and ensure timely closings for customers and the bank.
- Effectively manage multiple loans while treating each customer as unique.
- Show proficiency in closing for various verticals, including SBA, 504, Conventional, and USDA.
- Closely collaborate with the borrower, attorneys, and third parties to produce necessary documents on time for the set closing date.
- Lead the closing kick-off call and handle inquiries from borrowers and bank personnel regarding loans in process.
- Be the primary point of contact with the borrower to answer questions and ensure a clear understanding of the loan closing process.
- Resolve or escalate potential problems to the loan team, loan closing manager, and/or Bank Attorney.
- Maintain accurate loan files and function on a Modified Pre-Funding Review process.
- Complete Pre-Funding Reviews for Loan Closing Specialists I and II as needed.
- Five to ten years of experience with SBA and/or USDA is preferred.
- Five to ten years of legal or lending experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Professional and confidential disposition; exercise considerable judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- College degree in business or finance preferred.
