Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced retail professional to fill this Assistant Store Manager position. The ideal candidate will be able to provide exceptional customer service, lead store functions, and drive team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Help customers in a positive and approachable manner, addressing questions and concerns, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery trucks to stockrooms and sales floors, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain the promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays, driving sales and engagement.
  • Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation, promoting a positive shopping environment.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 55 pounds and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling is required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
