Our team is seeking a Risk and Control Specialist to join our Legal Oversight & Controls group.

This role will play a pivotal part in supporting and enhancing the control environment of the Legal department. You will collaborate with legal, technology, control, and compliance partners to design and implement robust controls.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on risk management principles and practices to ensure effective operational risk mitigation.
  • Assess and improve the data risk control environment by utilizing AI and machine learning applications.
  • Collaborate with process owners to execute firmwide programs, such as data risk management and privacy initiatives.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to promote innovative solutions in a dynamic risk landscape.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five+ years of relevant risk and control assessment experience in financial services, risk management, audit, quality assurance, compliance, or relevant discipline.
  • Proven expertise in risk and control management, including real-time detection of control issues and escalation processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact confidently with employees and managers throughout Legal and the firm.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Process/workflow evaluation and documentation experience.
  • Knowledge of JPMC CORE framework.
