Under the direction of the Director of Patient Access, the supervisor manages on-site staff and liaises with external partners. The supervisor ensures adherence to full registration protocols and addresses customer service concerns as the first escalation point.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting morning huddles
  2. Escalating scheduling or clinical concerns during daily operations
  3. Auditing access center staff for compliance with Ambulatory Access Guidelines and NAHAM registration protocols
  4. Monitoring referrals from partner organizations
  5. Reporting outstanding referrals to division Chiefs and the Access Center Director
  6. Managing pre-registration denials by collaborating with schedulers and following NAHAM standards
  7. Monitoring performance metrics
  8. Training entry-level staff
  9. Tracking key performance indicators for the Access Team

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma required; Associate's degree or certification preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years in an Academic Medical Center; 1-2 years supervisory or team lead experience in the same setting.

Certification: NAHAM or CHAM eligibility preferred.
